To learn deep in the study that is profound. I am not a tautology. There is a wealth of great literature to help them one-person can view. The view is when an artist lifts the thumb (the "golden rule"), to measure something in the distance. The type of perspective, I speak sometimes comes with age and maturity, but may be partly hastened by a good read. It is a process to be able to compare what we are to other similar situations and ideas.
The great classics of literature have stood the test of time and often contain wisdom that will help us through all kinds of social situations. What books to study from Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln? What they think is important? Make the big things you do? I think it was only a matter of being in the right place at the right time!
As you learn facts, history, mathematics, science, law, medicine and other disciplines, there is still no substitute for the nose in books. And yet, when lubriacted life the wisdom to avoid many problems Silly bit more time, no one seems to seriously have on other areas.
They have a big challenge, but I can tell from your question that you are the kind of person who will stick with it, and lead. I suggest you read the Bible and the works of the founding fathers in order to gain an understanding of the values that founded the nation. The knowledge of the past, you can understand that. (Do I suspect, you are American.) Obtain a study guide and nice to see they are all interconnected and interdependent.
Biographies of great men to guide us in life and encourages us when things become difficult. Above all, the stories of the first great scientists, men who laid the WHE foudatins of modern chemistry, biology, electricity and other fields. They are too widespread in our culture, so that you can afford to ignore.
Classics of literature, Defoe, Dickens, Dostoyevsky - I Could Go. Learning is a continuous exercise. Perhaps the greatest thing to learn what was in the school is to learn. I imporessed by his thirst for knowledge and hope that the practice continues. Good luck!
